From my ordination invitation:

As a minister in SHES,
the International Assembly of Spiritual Healers and Earth Stewards,
www.shes.org ...

I will endeavor to be open and tolerant in Spiritual matters,
living with personal integrity and caring,
while honoring each being’s unique path.

May Compassion’s Doorway live in my heart,
and may I seek the highest good for all.
May Spirit’s Guidance be at the core of all my efforts.

Even as I am ordained in SHES, I rejoice
in my continuing growth at West Hills Friends,
where I worship and enjoy a flourishing spiritual community.

in love and gratitude for your support,
Jeanine

Jeanine's Prayer of Dedication

Thank You, God, for filling me today with Your presence,
serenity, and love.

Thank You, God, for filling All-That-Is with Your Spirit,
and for allowing me to carry the reminder of Your presence
dwelling in everyone and everything.

With Your assistance, I seek daily to be open and tolerant
in matters of spirit, to encourage and live with  integrity and caring,
while honoring each being’s unique path.

May Compassion's Doorway live in my heart,
and may I seek the highest good for all.

Thank You, Lord, for walking with me on my journey,
for nurturing and caring for me
as I seek to be of  maximum service to You in all creation.

Significance of the Bridge

Moving to the bridge towards the end of the ceremony
represented, for me, transition and connections:
old to new, me to you, us to God.

Rose Memento with Story from Jeanine

In offering each person to choose a rose, I explained...

It is said to be the flower of the highest vibration.
It represents the joy and unique gift each of you are in my life.

My story prior to selecting "your" rose...
18 years ago in a college course, a classmate brought roses,
one for each participant to choose.
I saw the one I considered most beautiful
and instead selected another
because I didn’t want to take "the best."
Later I realized that I had taken someone else’s "most beautiful"
and left mine.
God has a perfect rose for each of us.
The Lord provides for each individual without taking from others.
