TAT® & Tips for Techno Stress in Teleseminars (4Ts)

Many of us who are drawn to TAT teleseminars simply endure the technology.

Issues and frustrations may include
  • frying technology through our mere proximity or touch
  • confusion, going blank, being overwhelmed or angry trying to use technology
  • avoiding the technology, so missing out on handouts, recordings, or feedback
  • glitches that we don't know how to troubleshoot, like
    • emails that we can't find and assume we never received
    • forms and emails that we complete but which never arrive at the instructor's computer
    • links that don't work (can't access the web page that has the call-in number!)
    • losing connection to the conference call, or pressing *6 to raise our hand with no response

We'll sample tech for teleseminars* in bite-sized pieces with TAT to soothe our way.
  • Techniques to avoid frying our equipment and static in our communication
  • Group TAT for tech frustrations, phobias, and phenomena
  • How and why to do TAT with / on behalf of the technology itself
  • Tips and concepts to easily resolve techno glitches, including
    • emails that can't be found
    • completed forms that vanish into cyberspace
    • links that don't work
    • conference call connection issues
  • TAT for a new, beneficial relationship with technology
*Teleseminars refers to conference calls, not webinars, although some content would apply to both.

Participants will need some experience with TAT
If TAT is new to you, please go to TAT founder Tapas Fleming's website and download her free "How to Do TAT" booklet
<http://store.tatlife.com/booklet/>

Please read "How to Do TAT" carefully and do at least one TAT before this group event.
Tapas recommends folks limit their time in the TAT Pose to no more than 20 minutes per day. Also, remember to drink plenty of water on days you do TAT.

Jeanine's background for offering this teleseminar:

  • Learning from experience - tricks to address unexpected technological surprises
  • Using TAT with myself, others, and the technology itself - lovely opportunities for transformation
  • Designed and taught high school TechSMART (Tech Student Mentors Accelerate Relevant Teaching) program in the '90's when teachers were just learning to deal with email, attachments, graphics, slideshows, grading programs, etc.
  • Taught technology workshops to
    • teachers in our Education Service District and my high school
    • folks 50-90 years old who had never touched a computer, some who were afraid of computers
  • Taught students 13-18 years old to incorporate new-to-them technology into their class projects
  • Certified TAT Trainer who recognizes the value of separating out dealing with technology from learning the teleseminar content, since we are all at different levels of skill and comfort in using technology
